Q:What organisations are there to assist me in starting my career?
Contents
There are a range of organisations in each regional centre throughout Central Queensland that provide varying levels of assistance for people seeking work. Centrelink keeps a registry of these organisations known as the Job Network.
Other organisations, referred to as Disability Employment Agencies, (listed below) specialise in assisting people with disabilities. To gain assistance from any member of the Job Network or a Disability Employment organisation you are required to register with Centrelink.
Once you are registered, Centrelink will take you through an assessment process designed to ascertain which of these organisations is best suited to assist you in your job search.
Information on how to register with Centrelink or how to find your way through the assessment process can be found at - http://www.centrelink.gov.au
If you wish to access support from one of the Disability Employment Agencies listed below or one of the Job Network providers it is advisable that you register as soon as possible.
Contact your local Disability Adviser at Centrelink to assist you through this process on: 13 27 17.
